CC-EMDR, where the therapist collaborates with both the child and their parents to support the child in processing their traumatic experiences. Trauma, anxiety, despair, and other emotional and behavioural issues in children may all be treated with this therapy. Similar to adult EMDR therapy, the therapy procedure involves the therapist first assisting the child in identifying the traumatic incident that has affected them before using bilateral stimulation to try and desensitise their emotional response to it. CC-EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that has proven successful in treating a variety of psychological disorders in children.

The Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT, is based on the idea that unprocessed emotions create a disturbance in the energy flowing through the body's meridian system, resulting in a negative charge to an event or emotion. When the body is out of control, and negative charge builds up, which is compounded by stress. It disrupts the immune system, one's capability to recover from physical ailments, pain, or emotional distress, and also influences the genes and cells. Energy pathways or meridians run through your body, connecting your cells, organs, feelings, and emotions. EFT is focused on the significant discovery that a trauma or stress-related thought or memory can interrupt and block the body's electromagnetic energy system. EFT involves tapping on different meridians/acupuncture points on the body with your fingertips. The real memory is not affected by tapping; however, the emotional charge is. EFT tapping restores flow and neutralizes the negative energies associated with the incident, emotion, or trauma by bringing energy through 4 the acupoints. EFT has also been shown to help war veterans break the cycle of past trauma. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is the most common modality in Energy Psychology. It was originally formulated for the medical community as Thought Field Therapy (TFT). It can be used to treat a variety of problems ranging from mental to physical, as well as to clear blocked energy prior to clinical therapies to improve efficacy.
